Bill Rancic is putting his Chrysler Crossfire Roadster convertible up for sale on the online auction site Overstock Auctions to benefit charity. Rancic was the winning player on the first season of Donald Trump's television reality series "The Apprentice," which awarded Rancic the car. Bidding started at $1 on January 21, and the auction runs through January 27.
Proceeds of the auction will go to the Dr. Edward T. Rancic Memorial Fund for Cancer Research at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. Bill Rancic founded the charity in honor of his father who died of cancer five years ago.
With a factory sticker price of more than $40,000, the convertible is black and fully loaded with such customized amenities as a cigar humidor and custom luggage designed to fit perfectly in the trunk. The original window sticker will be autographed by Rancic as well as "The Apprentice" star Donald Trump.
