Overstock Auctions is giving away a total of $50,000 in its latest contest. A grand-prize winner will receive $25,000 for building the largest auction network between January 26 and March 31, 2005. Five runners-up will receive $10,000, $6,00, $4,000, $3,000 and $2,000, respectively. Participants must be registered with Overstock.com Auctions and invite new people to Overstock.com Auctions.

Overstock Auctions utilizes a "social networking" component in which members are automatically entered into each others' Business Networks when they transact business with each other on the site. Members can also invite friends to join their "Personal Network." The new contest encourages current members to invite new users to the site.
