Chris Boatman, a 24 year old graduate, started QuickList from a storage locker in June 2004. Using a marine battery for the photography lighting and a $10 blanket for a backdrop, Boatman began accepting and selling items on consignment. Within 4 months, he was able to lease a prime storefront in Redlands, CA. He also leased a warehouse for processing the increasing volume of items.
Although QuickList has only two drop-off locations at this time, Boatman plans to expand to the Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga areas in the near future. As a small startup company, Boatman believes he can focus on a higher level of customer service that some of the larger franchise companies may lack. He aspires to be the dominant trading assistant in the Inland Empire region of Southern California.
