ChannelAdvisor Says First to Support eBay's New API Enhancements
By Ina Steiner AuctionBytes.com February 03, 2005
ChannelAdvisor announced it is the first vendor to support eBay's new API enhancements, allowing buyers to be directed to ChannelAdvisor Checkouts automatically after purchasing a "Buy It Now" item, fixed-price or Stores item. This streamlines the process for eBay buyers and saves time for sellers, according to the company.
With the support of this new functionality, ChannelAdvisor allows sellers to validate buyer identity seamlessly and in real-time from eBay, eliminating the need to re-type email addresses. Additionally, ChannelAdvisor captures the shipping address passed directly from eBay to eliminate another error-prone and time-consuming hurdle in online eBay purchases. As a result, ChannelAdvisor customers have experienced significantly low buyer support and increases in the number of successful checkouts. These new checkout enhancements are supported in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
ChannelAdvisor also announced it has signed up several top eBay sellers, including IMS Recycling, Rock Bottom Golf, SportsCloseouts.com, Vertex Industries and Chrosmack Ventures (montana4me).
ChannelAdvisor provides software that enables top eBay sellers and mid-sized businesses to manage and automate the sale of products across multiple online channels such as eBay and Amazon.com, Shopping.com and BizRate.com. ChannelAdvisor is offering new customers a turn-key "on-ramp" to migrate to the ChannelAdvisor platform called Managed Activation.
