One analyst asked about the planned strike by sellers on February 18. Cobb said they have heard about it, but he said they didn't know what would happen. CEO Meg Whitman jumped in and said, "These kinds of discussions have happened before,... This is not the most upset this community has been." Whitman referred back to the introduction of checkout in 1999 and said, "The great thing about this company is you have instantaneous feedback,...They (sellers) have a lot of issues and have things they'd like us to change....We will see what happens here, but this is not the first time we've sort of heard these kinds of rumors."
