In response to eBay's latest fee change, Overstock Auctions lowered its own listing fees last week, dropping its minimum listing fee to 17 cents from 20 cents (http://digbig.com/4cqnp).

Director of Auctions Marketing for Overstock Auctions J.T. Stephens, said, "Overstock.com Auctions is dedicated to providing our customers with at least a 30% discount over eBay fees. eBay recently lowered their minimum fee for inexpensive auction items from $0.30 to $0.25. We promptly followed suit to uphold our promise to our customers."

Stephens said the change would have affected about 8% of the listings based on January numbers. Stephens could not give specific data on sell-through rates, but said they are improving.

A thread on the Overstock Auctions discussion board reveals some thinking into upcoming changes users may expect in the future: http://digbig.com/4cqnq
