eBid recently announced the launch of its American operations in the form of us.eBid.tv. eBid says it is the UK's second largest online auctioneer, and says it offers "a realistically priced marketplace for sellers to be able to sell at prices that will attract buyers."

Fees start at zero for the "Free Auction" option. eBid also offers "Featured" auctions in the form of "Gallery," for which there is no fee unless the item is sold successfully.

eBid CEO Gary Sewell said, "We are here for the long haul and have come a long way since we started and the vision, everything is possible as long as we give our customers what they want. We do mean this, their input is vital to us and our size and versatility means we are able to implement change within hours and days and always answer queries with a human touch. We are David to a Goliath, but as it's been said before, the fun is in the chase."

eBid said it will launch eBid Canada, eBid Australia, Want Ads, eBid Stores and a 50% of sale Affiliate Program in the near future.
