SeniorNet announced the first SeniorNet Computer Learning Center to feature Spanish Language instruction and curriculum. SeniorNet and the eBay Foundation will conduct the grand opening of the SeniorNet of Fort Worth North-Side Hispanic Learning Center on Friday, February 18th 2005 beginning at 9:00 a.m. CST.
Made possible by a generous grant from the eBay Foundation, the Fort Worth North-Side Hispanic Learning Center is one of five eBay-sponsored SeniorNet Learning Centers across the United States to open or receive significant upgrades by mid 2005.
"The eBay Foundation is very pleased to bring technology education to older adults across the country through its sponsorship of SeniorNet Computer Learning Centers," said Irene Wong, executive director and CEO, eBay Foundation. "These new SeniorNet Learning Centers will further the missions of both the eBay Foundation and SeniorNet as we work together to bridge the digital divide, bringing technology training and resources to older adults not only in their local communities, but also in their local languages."
