Users can register for eBay's fourth annual community conference beginning today, March 4. In addition to classes and an exhibit area, this year's event will include tours of eBay headquarters and a special gala to celebrate eBay's 10-year anniversary.
The event takes place in eBay's hometown of San Jose, California from June 23-25. eBay said it expects the 3-day event to draw 10,000 attendees, and said the conference theme, The Power of All of Us, is a tribute to the community that has fueled eBay's growth for the past 10 years.
Attendees will be able to board an eBay Live shuttle bus for a 90-minute tour of the eBay Campus. "Learn eBay history, take your picture in front of the big eBay sign, and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Collect your "I visited the eBay Campus" sticker on the way back."
eBay President and CEO Meg Whitman will give a keynote address on Thursday at 6 pm, followed by a "special surprise" after her speech. Throughout the conference, there will be eBay University classes, a solutions center tradeshow floor, and roundtable discussions on such topics as eBay Stores and Trust and Safety. The event concludes with a Saturday night gala from 6 pm-9 pm with community awards.
The cost to attend is $50, which includes classes, parties and keynote speeches throughout the 3-day event. Starting April 18, registration will cost $60; from June 1, registration will be $70. As part of eBay's 10th Anniversary celebration, all registrants who register by March 14 will receive a $10 discount on the ticket price.
Originally the pricing was going to be $75 (March 4-April 17); $85 (April 18-May 31) and $95 (June 1-June 25), according to information posted to the eBay site.
Users can register online beginning today, and on-site registration will be available beginning June 23 at the convention center.
