Truition Inc. and the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced the official launch of the DEL online marketplace. The new marketplace is the official online source for German ice hockey memorabilia, and represents Truition's first significant client launch in the German market.

Truition says it is the dominant provider of online marketplaces for the sports and memorabilia vertical having created ecommerce solutions for clients including the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, World Wrestling Entertainment and the National Basketball Association.

"We are tremendously excited as we launch our first key customer in the German market," said Butch Langlois, President and CEO of Truition. "The addition of the German Ice Hockey League to our client portfolio strengthens Truition's leadership position in the sporting vertical, and provides an excellent entry point for our newly developed German operations."

Located at http://auktion.del.org, the new online marketplace offers German ice hockey fans access to authentic DEL collectibles and memorabilia, including some rare and exclusive pieces from both the NHL and DEL.

DEL's new online marketplace is powered by Truition's hosted ecommerce platform, CMS (Commerce Management System). CMS allows organizations to outsource multiple ecommerce functions from a single hosted platform.

Truition CMS includes a marketplace application that allows high-brand, high-volume online sellers to create their own online ecosystem, effectively bringing partners, fans, buyers and sellers together on a single online destination. Through Truition's CMS Marketplace application, the German Ice Hockey League will be able to expand its online functionality to include a network of branded team and approved vendor sites.

Truition was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Toronto, with additional corporate offices in Frankfurt, Boston and London.
