Reuters news service reported Wednesday that JP Morgan Chase & Co. is considering developing a payment system similar to PayPal.

Reuters uncovered the company's possible plans in an interview with Heidi Miller, the new chief executive of the company's treasury and securities services (T&SS) unit. The article said according to Miller, "the bank has a payments steering committee studying the best way for it to take advantage of changes in the way consumers and businesses make and receive payments."
