eBay will host its annual Developers Conference in San Jose on June 21, a few days before its eBay Live community conference, and is now accepting nominations for the 2005 Star Developer Awards. The awards will be presented at the developers conference and include one for "Service to the Developer Community" and one for "Innovative Application." Users can nominate developers on the http://developer.ebay.com page on eBay's site through April 22, 2005.

In other eBay news:

  • eBay said sellers using who use its Enhanced Picture Services will be prompted to install an update when they next list with the Sell Your Item form because the ActiveX control software for the Internet Explorer browser on Windows will be updated (users of other browsers will not be affected).

  • eBay said it will improve the invoicing process so that when a seller creates an invoice for a buyer, they will have the choice to automatically include items from a previous invoice (if applicable). If the seller would like to send separate invoices, they will still be able to do so.

  • eBay is holding a workshop on March 23 to answer questions about Buyer Requirements and Unpaid Items.

See eBay's Announcement Board for details.
