TIAS.com is celebrating its 10th year selling on the Internet. The Web start-up came online in April of 1995 with just two online merchants. Tias says today it hosts over 730 merchants with 560,000 antiques and collectibles for sale online and serves approximately 190,000 unique customers a day.
"The primary reason we are still around after so many other online businesses have come and gone is our emphasis on attracting customers to our Web site," said Phillip Davies, President of Tias. "We've built an environment for our customers where they feel comfortable purchasing from Tias merchants because they know we've been around for ten years and our merchants are reputable."
Tias said it has plans to substantially expand the reach of their marketplace for sellers in the coming months. Later this year TIAS will also launch several new initiatives designed to further increase customer satisfaction and draw even more first time buyers to the site.
