Reading AuctionBytes: Marketworks Opens Australian Office

eBay Certified Solution Provider Marketworks has opened an office in Sydney, Australia. Former eBay employee Lee McCabe will lead Marketworks' entry into the market.

Kyle Antcliff, Vice President of International at Marketworks, said, "We are very pleased to have Lee on board because not only does he bring intimate knowledge of eBay and the broader market, but he also brings the passion necessary to help small businesses succeed online."

Marketworks also recently celebrated its 1-year anniversary in the UK. In March, Marketworks facilitated over $6 million in gross merchandise value (GMV) for its over 250 eBay.uk sellers, reporting it makes Marketworks the largest provider of eBay sales management solutions in the UK. Customers include enterprise merchants, Vodafone, O2 and Hewlett-Packard along with high-volume small businesses parkers-bolton, gowingstore and towbarman01.

"The first year has exceeded even our wildest of expectations," said Antcliff. "We have enabled countless eBay.uk sellers to significantly grow their businesses, and the UK continues to fuel our international growth." Royal Mail also recently announced a partnership with Marketworks to serve as its outsourced offering for large retailers and manufacturers who want to take advantage of the eBay.uk channel. Marketworks has a local six-person team serving the UK market.
