eBay Redesigns Its Stores Logo

eBay is changing the logo of its Stores in June. The company said in doing research and listening to community feedback, it found that that current red-tag logo "sent many messages that did not reflect what an eBay Store is today." Store logos are displayed next to the eBay Store name of Store sellers on item pages, and next to member User IDs. eBay's Frequently Asked Questions section explained:

While the current eBay Stores red tag logo is familiar to Store sellers, we found that many users associate the red tag with "sale" or "clearance" items or have the perception that an eBay Store is simply another selling format on eBay. To address this issue, we decided to change the logo to better reflect the benefits of an eBay Store. We hope the new logo will help clarify that eBay Stores is a customized way to view all items from a seller rather than just a place to find store inventory format items.

eBay is making the logo available to users now so they can update any printed materials in preparation of the new logo rollout in June. At the end of March, eBay hosted approximately 158,000 stores on the U.S. site.
