Sunshine Pack & Ship recently auctioned a single lot of artifacts and personal photographs from the Hindenburg Zeppelin disaster of May 6, 1937 for $3,250. The owner had hoped to get a few hundred dollars for his collection, but after Sunshine Pack & Ship researched the item, they realized it should sell for between $1500 and $3000 (according to a museum curator). They set the reserve price accordingly, and 7 days later, the auction closed at $3250 having jumped from $1500 to the closing price within the last few minutes of the auction.
