eBay announced the appointment of Jordan Banks to the position of managing director, eBay Canada (www.ebay.ca). A Toronto native and five-year employee at eBay Canada, Jordan was most recently the head of business and strategic development for eBay's Canadian office.

In his new role, Jordan becomes the senior-level executive responsible for all of eBay Canada's operations and will continue to be located in eBay Canada's offices in Toronto. As managing director, Jordan assumes overall responsibility for the ongoing development of eBay Canada, including operations, sales, marketing and building the eBay brand and community of users in Canada. Jordan was eBay Canada's second employee when hired. Former eBay.ca vice president and country manager Gary Briggs has been named vice president of marketing for PayPal.
