AuctionBytes has learned that EZ Time Software's Dan Goldstein passed away in a car accident several weeks ago. Dan was 29 years old and was the lead programmer for EZ Time Software's tool for eBay sellers, AuctionSubmit.
Jon Goldstein is managing partner of EZ Time Software and is Dan's father. He posted an announcement on the AuctionSubmit board. "The past few weeks have been a very difficult time for us... Dan Goldstein, who was the creator and ongoing developer and innovator of Auction Submit died recently in a car accident. He was a bright light in the world and his death has been a devastating blow to his family, friends, and colleagues. Among his many other accomplishments, it is incredible to think that he has provided to us a dynamic, professional quality, free, auction submission tool since 1999. This included, literally, hundreds of updates to compensate for the numerous changes on eBay."
Jon is considering abandoning AuctionSubmit, selling the source code, or transforming it into a pay-for-use tool. He activated a new email address, ideas@auctionsubmit.com, to receive "reasonable proposals."
