Online classifieds site Oodle announced the availability of beta versions of its service in the greater New York area. Oodle is a free, online service that provides timely access to all the classified listings in a local area, including jobs, housing, services, cars and other items.
Oodle includes listings from New York City, Southern Connecticut, Northern New Jersey, Westchester and Long Island. The service covers classifieds for jobs, housing, services, cars and other items.
The beta version of the Oodle service, while not yet complete, finds roughly 300,000 new listings each week from a variety of sources including Newsday and the Westchester Journal Times, and online publishers such as Craigslist, Cars.com and eBay.
Oodle launched its beta service in Chicago, Dallas and Philadelphia in March, in Miami in April, and in Boston and LA in May.
