Auctiva released the latest version of its web-based eBay services last week at the eBay Live conference, creating a free solution for sellers.
"Our customers were expressing a need for a complete seller's solution that would increase their revenue and grow their business," said Kevin Kinell, Vice President, Engineering for Auctiva Corp. "We were able to develop a more reliable, easy-to-use, free version of our web-based software, to provide our customers with a comprehensive tool that saves them money and saves them time."
What's the revenue model for the free tool? Auctiva's Director of Marketing Stephanie Seufert said, "Basically, we've partnered or are in the process of partnering with other third-party companies to provide complementary services to the buyers from our sellers. The first feature we're releasing within our integrated checkout is shipping insurance. We're able to obtain the insurance at a discount, offer it to our sellers to include in the checkout process to their buyers - and then we share the revenue with our sellers."
Auctiva also plans to add features that include an innovative revenue-sharing system for sellers to net additional income from within Auctiva's integrated check out.
