On Monday, eBay announced it would add a feedback-filtering feature to the eBay Australia site. Yesterday, eBay said it would begin a 90-day trial of the feature on eBay Canada, and that "all other international sites, except for eBay.com, will have this feature available on their country sites."
The feature allows users to filter feedback comments by rating type (positive, neutral and negative). Some users believe it helpful to be able to quickly review negative feedback ratings without wading through pages, while others believe users should have to see all of the ratings, including the positive feedback, rather than just negative ratings.
eBay said the filtering applies only to feedback received within the past 12 months. During the trial, members on eBay.ca will be able to access a new drop-down menu labeled "Period" on the Member Profile page. After choosing a time period, special rating filter links will appear. Also within the filtered view, a new icon will appear next to each feedback comment allowing members to quickly view the feedback left by both the buyer and seller for that transaction (if any).
Depending on the results of the trial, this feature may remain on eBay.ca.
