Marketworks has named Linwood "Chip" A. Lacy, Jr. to its Board of Directors effective immediately. Marketworks is a leading provider of sales-automation software and marketing services for multi-channel online selling.
Lacy spent over ten years with Ingram Micro Inc. and its predecessor Micro D serving as Chief Executive Officer. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Micro Warehouse in 1996 and 1997, and was the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of 4SURE.com, an Internet-based microcomputer superstore sold to Office Depot in 2001.
"Marketworks continues to demonstrate its unique ability to assist businesses of all types grow online sales while driving operational efficiency," said Lacy. "I feel so confident in the Marketworks team that not only am I serving on their board, I have also personally invested in the company," he said.

Mr. Lacy also serves on the Board of Directors for EarthLink, Inc and was a member of the Board of Directors of EarthLink Network from June 1996 until its merger with MindSpring in 1999. He also serves as a director of Ingram Industries Inc., NETGEAR, Inc. and EVault, Inc. where he is Chairman of the Board.
