Reading AuctionBytes: eBay Australia Adds Telephone Verification Option

In order to sell on eBay Australia, members are asked to complete a verification process either using a credit or debit card, or having a confirmation code sent to the member's street address. eBay Australia is adding a third option, verification through the telephone. eBay makes an automated call to members' telephone lines giving them a confirmation code that they will need to input into eBay.com.au in order to start selling. Only fixed line numbers can be used, no mobile phone numbers will be allowed.
