Sellathon, creator of the ViewTracker auction tracking software, launched "Sellathon Gallery," a tool that allows eBay users to browse and sort a seller's listings based on the popularity of those listings.
Sellathon Gallery lets users sort a seller's listings based on the number of visits (and unique visitors) an item has received, how many watches have been placed on it, how many bids a listing has received, how many snipes have been set, and even how much time the average visitor spends looking at an item. Sellathon Gallery has been integrated into ViewTracker and is free for ViewTracker users.
According to Wayne Yeager, Sellathon CEO, eBay sellers are increasingly using galleries to attract visitors to their other items for sale, but he believes that because of limited sort functionality, buyers tend not to explore beyond the first few items.
"We've noticed that our users do drive quite a few additional buyers to their auctions through various gallery-type applications," Yeager said, "but we wanted to see if we could take that to the next level. Sellathon Gallery gives more sorting and browsing control to the buyer, plus it taps into the natural curiosity we all have to see what other eBayers are interested in."
Since the Sellathon Gallery data is pulled from a seller's ViewTracker statistics, and is controlled from within ViewTracker, sellers can select which information they wish to display and which information they wish to hide from public view.
ViewTracker users will be able to provide visitors with a direct link to the seller's own gallery. To see Sellathon Gallery in action, visit http://gallery.sellathon.com, which displays the gallery of random ViewTracker users.
