Reuters is reporting that Google and Yahoo, and possibly eBay, are interested in Amsterdam-based Trader Classified Media (http://digbig.com/4ehak ).
Since 2004, eBay has been on a buying-spree of classified websites in addition to rolling out its own Kijiji sites worldwide (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m06/i30/s00 ).
ChinaTechNews reported that Trader Classified Media (http://www.trader.com ) signed an agreement last month to acquire the largest shareholding in SouFun Holdings Limited (Soufun.com), one of China's leading real estate Internet businesses.
With things heating up in China between eBay and Yahoo (Yahoo acquired a 40 percent stake in eBay competitor Alibaba this month), it will be interesting to watch Trader Classified Media.
