Fandango, an online and phone movie-ticketing service, announced the formation of a strategic marketing relationship with eBay. Under the terms of the deal, Fandango will offer eBay users direct links to movie synopses, reviews, showtimes and advance ticket sales. The alliance will provide both Fandango and eBay with new marketing opportunities. For example, eBay users looking for DVDs of family movies may be informed of the opportunity to purchase tickets up to 45 days in advance for "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." Similarly, moviegoers searching Fandango for showtimes and tickets for Peter Jackson's upcoming "King Kong" can link to eBay to place bids for classic Kong-related memorabilia.
