On October 15, online auction site uBid will launch "uBid For Katrina Relief," a large celebrity auction to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. The Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas, Nevada will play host to a star-studded event slated to include special musical performances and a live auction. The live event will also kick off an online auction hosted at ubid.com that will run until early November.
Proceeds will be split evenly among three charitable organizations locally focused in the devastated areas: The Brett Favre Fourward Mississippi Relief Fund, Forces of Nature and the RockWorks Foundation. Some of the celebrities who will offer support for the uBid charity auction are Sir Elton John, Ashton Kutcher, Nicole Richie, Jessica Biel, the Cast of "The Sopranos," Britney Spears, Jamie Foxx, Cuba Gooding Jr., George Clooney, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Reba McIntyre.
