QXL is running online auctions to raise money for a new fund to provide aid to Tsunami struck villages in memory of the late Robin Needham, a celebrated senior aid worker for CARE International. After an appeal by 20-year-old Edinburgh University student, Daisy Bell, niece of Robin Needham, artists and celebrities including Seve Ballesteros, Sol Campbell, Charlotte Church, James Dyson, Ralph Fiennes, Theo Fennell, Loyd Grossman, Nigel Havers, Elizabeth Hurley, Vernon Kay, David Linley, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Paul McCartney, Chris Moyles, Bill Nighy, Gail Porter, Mario Testino, Joanna Trollope and The Kings of Leon responded with a postcard filled with their work or doodlings.

Needham worked for CARE International for 25 years helping a great number of third world countries and was director of CARE-Nepal when he was killed. The auction will feature over 200 works of art on QXL.com closing on October 3rd.
