eBay is getting rid of the shield icon that designates listings that qualify for the PayPal Buyer Protection, which provides up to $1,000 purchase protection on eligible items. eBay is removing the shield icon from search and listings pages and item pages. On item pages, the shield will be replaced with the PayPal logo and the words, "Free PayPal Buyer Protection on this item. See eligibility."
