Overstock.com has opened an online Health and Wellness department that offers medical equipment and home health products discounted up to 70 percent off list prices. The new department offers a range of home healthcare products including motorized wheelchairs (also know as "personal mobility scooters"), walkers, blood pressure monitors and skin care products.
Overstock.com President Patrick Byrne said, "The products offered through our new department can dramatically impact the quality of life for many of our customers." He said the company is interested in hearing from companies to carry more products suited for those with differing abilities.
Some examples of specific products include a CTM HomeCare luxury edition personal mobility scooter for $999.99 (regular retail is $2,499.99), and a LifeSource blood pressure monitor for $59.99 (regular retail is $99.95). As is the case with all of Overstock.com items, shipping on each order is only $2.95.
