Overstock posted an update on its announcement board on Thursday that new servers were handling the increased volume of visitors and listings the site had been experiencing. "These changes will allow Overstock Auctions to easily handle the expected increase in site usage throughout the 2005 holiday season." Overstock had reported site performance issues on November 11 (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m11/i11/s01). The announcement from David Wellman, Director of Auction Development for Overstock Auctions, continued, "Additionally, we are working on many other big improvements for the near future, including adding even more servers to support the site as we continue to grow, revamping current features, enhancing the site's layout and organization, and, of course, unveiling new features that I'm confident everyone will be excited to see, such as an expanded version of O-Lister." O-Lister is a tool that allows sellers to manage their auction listings.
