Yahoo Auctions Creates Holiday Section, Releases Seller Newsletter
By Ina Steiner

Yahoo Auctions has created a section for holiday shoppers (http://digbig.com/4fjsj), which is advertised on the auctions home page. Yahoo Auctions published its November newsletter for sellers (http://digbig.com/4fjsg), which includes tips for getting auctions listings included on the Holiday Pages.

Yahoo Auctions has been communicating more regularly with sellers through its announcement board (http://digbig.com/4fjsp). Since making auction listings free for sellers, the site seems to be devoting more attention to the auction site than in past years, when it seemed to devote little attention. Yahoo switched to the free model in June of this year and now places ads from its Yahoo Search Marketing program on auction pages to generate revenue.

Yahoo also has a systems announcement board to report technical issues (http://digbig.com/4fjsr).
