eBay confirmed there were glitches that affected listings over the weekend. Spokesperson Catherine England said the problem began Saturday just before 4pm PST and affected only new listings. When sellers submitted new listings to eBay, there was a delay of over 12 hours before the listings were made visible on the site. England said the problem was resolved on Sunday at about 2:30 pm PST, and listings that were impacted had been extended. England said eBay would not post an announcement on the Systems Announcement about the problem board because it did not impact all members and so would cause confusion among members. England did not have information about reports of sold items disappearing and said she would look into it.
