Intellext has announced a comparison-shopping version of its Watson search agent available at no charge. Watson is a tool that stays open on users' desktops. Once Watson detects that users are shopping online, it proactively searches Amazon and eBay listings for relevant price comparisons and product reviews. The tool understands the context of what a computer user is working on and actively finds relevant search results from Web search engines, desktop search applications, news sites and more. Intellext is a member of eBay's affiliate program. Watson Professional, the licensed version of the product, remains available for business users who want to integrate Watson into their subscription sources and enterprise information systems.
