The glitch that occurred on eBay late last week with its sign-in feature appears to have escalated. At about 5:30 am PST Monday morning, eBay users began posting on discussion threads that they were unable to sign-in to eBay, leaving them unable to conduct business on the site.
Late Friday night, eBay had rolled back some code it had just released because it was causing issues with its member Sign In procedure. While eBay did not reveal what the issues were, some eBay users complained on discussion boards that when they signed in to their accounts, someone else's name appeared on their eBay sign-in page (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m12/i17/s01).
Things were fairly quiet on Saturday and Sunday, but Monday morning, posts popped up on eBay boards saying that while users could sign in to post messages, they were unable to access My eBay. At 6:25 am, eBay posted on its Announcement Board, "We are aware that Sign In may be slow or intermittently unavailable for some members. We are working on this problem, and we appreciate your patience" (http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200512190625281.html).
