eBay Delays Launch of New Features, Citing 'Issues'

eBay said it would delay the launch of three new features it had announced last week. eBay will delay launch of Business Registration (http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200512151040222.html), Adding Pictures to Active Listings Even After a Bid (http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200512161033182.html), and Digitally Delivered Goods (http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200512141728192.html).

eBay said it made the decision to delay the features "due to some issues while releasing the products." It did not say if it was related to a member sign-in glitch that started last week and climaxed on Monday (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m12/i20/s01). eBay said it hoped to reintroduce the three new features within the next several weeks.

Sellers continue to grumble over Monday's outage. eBay initially indicated it would not credit fees to sellers whose auctions were affected by the problems. Sellers have long warned eBay not to introduce new features during the holiday shopping season over concerns that changes lead to glitches.
