eBay Canada will launch the ability for users to purchase and print shipping labels through eBay and PayPal. Sellers will be able to print Canada Post and UPS shipping labels for transactions, and customs forms will be included automatically. The labels will be printable right from users' printers as part of the process.
Online shipping has been in place on the US site for almost two years (http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyandsell/shippingcenter9.html), and eBay enjoys a close relationship with the US Postal Service, which provides eBay-branded Priority Mail boxes to customers for free. US Postmaster General Jack Potter even joined eBay's CEO on stage during her keynote address last June during the eBay Live conference.
eBay Canada's announcement stated that Canadians listing on eBay.ca and eBay.com will save 8 percent on domestic services (including Regular Parcel, Expedited Parcel and Xpresspost), and 9 percent on international services (including Expedited Parcel - U.S.A., Xpresspost - U.S.A. and Xpresspost - International) when using the new shipping-label printing service.
