Andale Still Talking to eBay Over Checkout Redirect
By Ina Steiner

eBay had told Andale customers in November that it would discontinue access to Checkout Redirect through the Andale platform beginning on February 1, 2006 (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m11/i29/s01). But as of Friday, Andale customers could still utilize the checkout redirect feature appropriately, according to the company.
eBay had said it would take away the feature, which is only available to a select group of developers, after Andale had experienced severe technical difficulties in late October and early November (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m11/i02/s03).
Andale President and CEO Linda Hayes would not comment on the matter, other than to say on Friday afternoon that they were in conversations with eBay.
