Reading AuctionBytes: eBay Rolls Out Location Misrepresentation Policy
|
eBay rolled out a new policy effective February 3, 2006, due to what it says is an increase in reports from the community about false or inaccurate information. The Location Misrepresentation policy does not allow sellers to list a "contradictory" location, such as "Hong Kong, United Kingdom" or "Worldwide, United States" in the item location field. Also prohibited is listing "USA" in the item location field when the listing description says the item is actually shipping from some other country. The policy is online at http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/item-location.html.
