eBay is inviting developers to submit speaking proposals for its annual developers conference held each June. This year's conference is being held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on June 10 - 12, 2006. (The eBay Live conference takes place at the same venue on June 13 - 15, 2006 http://pages.ebay.com/ebaylive/.)
According to the Developers Conference website, eBay's family of companies (eBay, Skype, ProStores, Shopping.com, Kijiji and PayPal) creates "an even more diverse eBay ecosystem and worlds of new opportunity for developers." The theme of the conference is Commerce, Communications, and Community.
The call for papers explains eBay is looking for presentations that "highlight integration synergies among the eBay family of products and between these platforms and other web services." Sample topics include:
Integration Opportunities with eBay Using a Non-Desktop Platform
Remixing eBay Data with Other Web Services
Integrating the eBay Marketplace with PayPal, CRM, or Shipping Services
Building Affiliate Applications using eBay and Shopping.Com
Social Networking in the eBay Ecosystem
Leveraging Skype and PayPal in Your Business Operations
