MarkMonitor, which monitors eBay and other online shopping sites looking for listings of unauthorized goods, has introduced new features to its auction monitoring solution.
MarkMonitor said that with the addition of image recognition and scoring algorithm technologies, its Auction Monitoring system identifies previously undetectable graphics-based infringements, such as unauthorized use of logos or text within graphics that contains improper claims, and produces highly customized search results.
The Auction Monitoring solution enables companies participating in eBay's Verified Rights Ownership (VeRO) program to fully automate the reporting of listings that infringe upon intellectual property rights or involve the sale of counterfeit goods.
MarkMonitor also announced it has partnered with PassMark Security to help financial institutions address online security requirements. The partnership provides financial institutions a solution for addressing every point in the fraud lifecycle, from strong consumer authentication to the shut down of phishing and other fraudulent attacks on the Internet.
