Reading AuctionBytes: Overstock Auctions Eliminates 1-Day Duration Listings
Overstock Auctions is doing away with 1-day duration listings. Sellers will still have a choice of running auctions for 3, 5, 7 and 10 days. Previously sellers were required to have a business rating of at least 10 to post a 1-day auction. The Overstock Auctions post announcing the change said it was being made because, "we think that it is going to improve the safety of our site and give sellers a better chance to increase auction views." Sellers will still have the choice of making listings "Make It Mine," similar to eBay's "Buy It Now" feature.
