eBay Acknowledges Store Technical Bugs
By Ina Steiner

February 27, 2006

On February 22, eBay Storeowners began reporting problems with features that were causing visitors to be unable to navigate their Stores, and in some cases, be unable to visit their Stores at all. On February 24, eBay posted an acknowledgement that there were bugs and said they had been fixed. Sellers were angry that eBay failed to communicate with users to acknowledge the problem; at no time did eBay post about the problem on the Systems Announcement Board, a place designed to communicate with users about site technical problems.

eBay posted a second message later on February 24, identifying six bugs they found and fixed, and identifying two additional bugs that they said they continue to work on fixing.

One seller wrote to AuctionBytes saying there is another bug, this one affecting eBay's listing tool: "In Selling Manager, the bulk relist hangs and never comes back." The feature allows sellers to relist items in bulk (http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.jspa?threadID=2000089027).
