The Associated Press (AP) reports that Australia newspaper group John Fairfax Holdings Ltd. will buy New Zealand online-auction site Trade Me for 700 million New Zealand dollars (US$466 million), and up to another NZ$50 million (US$33 million) if targets are met over the next two years. The AP said Trade Me has 1.2 million members.
