Reading AuctionBytes: Intuit Customizes Tax Program for eBay Sellers

Intuit has launched a customized version of its TurboTax tax-preparation software for eBay sellers. The company said the program includes the features of TurboTax Premier, and has 75 revised screens and 30 additional screens with dedicated help and guidance for eBay sellers.

The program helps sellers figure out what eBay expenses, like PayPal, Internet hosting fees and others, are deductible to maximize tax savings, and guides users step-by-step through their tax returns, including new eBay- specific language, examples and extra help unique to eBay sellers.

Intuit has also created a "Tax Center for eBay Sellers," providing answers to the most common questions eBay sellers have around taxes and their small business. "Ask an Expert" allows any eBay seller to submit an eBay tax-related question online to a TurboTax tax expert who understands eBay.
