eBay announced it has expanded RSS offerings on its site to include search pages. RSS is way for users to receive instant content updates from various websites or sources in one central location. eBay already has RSS feeds for eBay Stores (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y05/m11/i10/s03), Announcement Board and discussion boards.
With the rollout of RSS to search pages, users will be able to create custom RSS feeds that will deliver the results of eBay searches to them via any RSS reader. Every time a visitor conducts a search on eBay, he or she will see an RSS button on the bottom of the screen that gives a feed for that search. eBay is also integrating RSS support with Advanced Search pages.
To subscribe to RSS feeds, an RSS reader or aggregator is necessary. eBay said it is working to add RSS feeds to other areas in the coming months.
