eBay posted on its Systems Announcement Board that an issue with a network provider outside of eBay affected some members' use of the eBay site. Some members experienced problems using Selling Manager Pro and sign-in, the announcement stated.
Sellers on the Technical Issues board complained for hours on Wednesday of slowness and accessibility issues on eBay (http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=2000107748). The timing was especially unfortunate as 7-day fixed-price items listed on eBay's 10-cent listing day were set to end on Wednesday (http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200603141700092.html).
Hani Durzy, eBay's Director of Corporate Communications, said of the problems, "I can confirm that the issue absolutely was with an outside network provider. We are not extending listings or issuing credits, as our Outage policy only applies to outages caused by problems rooted in our platform."
