eBay announced the following winners of its "Best in Stores" contest. A Touch of Whimsy Designs won for Best Shopping Experience (http://stores.ebay.com/A-Touch-of-Whimsy-Designs). Period Paper won for Best eBay Store Marketing (http://stores.ebay.com/Period-Paper). Grapevinehill won for Best Looking eBay Store (http://stores.ebay.com/Grapevinehill). And Howlin' Moon Bakery won for Best Success Story (http://stores.ebay.com/Howlin-Moon-Designer-Dog-Cat-Beds).
eBay Stores are storefronts where sellers can list inventory with a monthly subscription fee and lower listing fees and higher commission fees than listing on the eBay.com platform. eBay had 247,000 U.S. eBay Stores as of March 31, 2006.
eBay said it would offer a seminar at its eBay Live conference next month called "Best in Stores: eBay Stores Best Practices Panel" during which past and present Best in Stores contest winners will discuss their tips, tricks, and best practices.
