Who knows what the future holds for Meg?

In an interview with a UK financial newspaper, eBay CEO Meg Whitman says she has fulfilled her previous commitment to stay at eBay and won't make further commitments as to how much longer she'll stay. In her early days at eBay (she joined the company in 1998), Whitman said would stay through her son's high school graduation. He graduated in June, and, she told the Financial Times, "I'm not making any more prognostications."

Last year, Whitman interviewed for the position of CEO at Disney, but withdrew her name from the running.

Whitman also told Financial Times she would not rule out "a big merger among Internet companies" in the long term, but said she doesn't see anything in the near-term.
