eBay officially launched its new fixed-price marketplace called eBay Express during the eBay Live conference last week. AuctionBytes.TV caught up with eBay Express Director Lara Bridges on the show floor to talk about the new site and how seller listings appear in search results.
Bridges explained search results are tied to relevancy, with rankings based on several factors about the seller. She said the results "get smarter" over time based on buyer behavior.
Bridges also discussed how eBay will be marketing the campaign to buyers, including a catalog, email campaigns, Internet marketing, public relations and TV commercials.
